Waves- Mr. Probz ft. Chris Brown and T.I.

A Caribbean seaside resort, for 18-35 year olds. It has a 120 BPM, even though it has a dance rythm to it,
the song is very calm and is one that young people can relax to.

Week 1- I chose the song Waves by Mr. Probz for my holiday advert. This is because I enjoyed the beat

and rhythm of the song, it relates to then seaside and holidays.

Week 2- I acknowledged the basic rhythm and beat of the song, luckily the beat is very repetitive throughout

so it was simple to construct the drum beat.

Week 3- The next week I aknowledged all of the time periods where the drums can be heard clearly and

adjusted the noise levels of the beat to suit the song. This was more complicated than the week before and
took longer to do.

Week 4- On week 4 I started on NN-XT, I used a smooth bass guitar to play in the background, like it does in

the actual song. This was tough as the notes of the bass guitar are very quiet compared to the other
instruments used and is difficult to hear in the background.

Week 5- On week 5 I started on ID8, which is the main guitar part of the song. This was the hardest part of the

song because I had to get the rythm and spacing between the chords exactly correct otherwise it wouldn't
sound right.

Week 6- On this week I learnt about balance, panning reverb and compression and mixted a track.

Compression was the most difficult out of the 4, which i assumed it would be before beginning the task.

Week 7- In the penultimate week, I re-listened to my sequencing track in order to check for any flaws there might be. I had to make sure it was perfect.

Week 8- On the last week I exported my song and emailed it to Miss Harris.
